Large, 840g tin of lingot beans cooked in duck fat.
Made by La Belle Chaurienne in the south of France, these white beans in a tomato-based sauce are a classic French staple to stock in your food cupboard, traditionally served with Toulouse sausages, confits or cassoulets. Simple ingredients, no added colours or preservatives.
Lingot beans are a white, kidney-shaped bean from the legume family, known for their creamy texture and mild, slightly nutty flavour. To prepare: simmer in a saucepan over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring regularly. Otherwise, reheat in the microwave for 3 minutes at maximum power in a suitable dish covered with cling film.
Based in Castelnaudary, the historic home of cassoulet, traditional producer La Belle Chaurienne takes immense pride in its authentic recipes. You can buy real French dishes from their high-quality tinned and jarred traditional French meals range, as well as other delights such as confit de canard, rillettes and terrines.
